How it is built
Capitals are three cells wide and five tall. M, N and W take four or five cells, because a three-cell M is a guess.
It is unicase: lowercase sets the capitals, so a label stays one height. At 16 px every cell is two pixels and nothing is grey.
One cell is the font size divided by eight, so at 16, 32, 48, 72 and 120 px every edge lands on a whole pixel. The tester and the waterfall only offer those sizes.
- NodeAn on-curve point at (0, 0). 18 in this glyph.
- Cell100 units, an eighth of the em: 2 px at 16, 15 px at 120, never a fraction.
- Advance600 units wide: 0 of space on the left, 100 on the right.
- Fifth columnM takes five cells, not three: a three-cell M is a guess.
How it fits
- Advance boxWidths run from 200 to 600 units across the face.
- Side bearingsH keeps 0 units of space on the left and 100 on the right. No kerning: the boxes do the spacing.
