How it is built
Hoop's skeletons with every arc replaced by its 45-degree points, so bowls become octagons, at 74% width under a 132-unit square pen.
A stroke end that meets nothing gets a square cap; where strokes meet, the outside of the turn is filled with a bevel, so nothing pokes out of a joint. Each glyph is then cut flat at the lines its skeleton reaches, so diagonals stand on the baseline instead of hanging below it.
A vector face: it works at any size. The tester and the waterfall use the house steps.
- NodeAn on-curve point at (142, -204). 36 in this glyph.
- CornerStraight segments only: 36 nodes and no handles.
- Advance459 units wide: 29 of space on the left, 29 on the right.
- BevelWhere strokes meet, the outside of the turn is filled flat, so nothing pokes out of the joint.
How it fits
- UnkernedThe second letter where its advance width alone would put it: hairline.
- KernedThe pair as the font sets it, pulled in by the value under it, in units of a 1000-unit em.
