I'm the festival's designer: the printed program, the website and the application.
The 2026 festival opened on Friday, Oct 23, with a 16-page printed program I designed and coded. The board approved the cover, and it went to the printer. The same week I finished a separate awards program.
I have worked with VAASF since at least 2022. My Drive holds the final programs and application sheets for 2022 through 2025. I now own the Webflow site, including the redesigned events schedule, and I built the 2026 application, which collected 92 to 94 entries.
The booklet is a Python script that fills HTML pages from the repertoire data and prints each one to PDF. A late schedule change is a data edit and a rebuild, not a layout rework. It replaced a first draft built in Canva.
What I learned: with a small nonprofit, the deadline is the design brief. A real PDF in front of the board by noon beat any talk about options.
